Terms and Conditions

The simple rules for using TechAid and our remote IT support: what we do, what we ask of you, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Last updated: October 21, 2026

The short version

  • A clear price is shared before any work starts, and work begins only after you agree.
  • You approve the connection and watch every step, and access ends when the session closes.
  • We will tell you plainly if something cannot be fixed remotely.
  • Keep a backup of your important data before any work.
  • Contributions are optional and final: they are never refunded once received.
  • Questions? Email us any time (section 19).

Acceptance of these terms

By visiting https://techaid.pk (the “site”) or asking TechAid for support, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your country, or have a parent or guardian do so for you.

Our services

TechAid provides remote IT support, including help with PCs and laptops, MikroTik and ISP networks, networks and servers, wireless links, IT administration, and websites and online stores. Services are delivered remotely over a secure connection that you approve.

  • The scope of each job is whatever we agree with you in our conversation before work starts.
  • Some problems cannot be solved remotely, such as a damaged part, a broken cable, or a misaligned antenna. If that is the case, we will tell you plainly and explain the next step.
  • We may decline or stop a job that is unlawful, unsafe, or outside what we can responsibly do.

Pricing and payment

A clear price is shared before any work starts, and work begins only after you agree to it. Payment method and timing are agreed with you in the same conversation.

  • If the scope changes while we work, we will tell you and agree the new price with you before continuing.
  • Prices are for the work described. Third-party costs, such as new hardware, licenses, hosting, or domain renewals, are separate and are always explained first.
  • If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us and we will review it fairly.

Your responsibilities

  • You own, or are authorized to give us access to, every device, account, network, or website we work on.
  • You give us accurate information about the problem and anything that might affect it.
  • You approve the remote connection yourself and stay available during the session where needed.
  • You keep your own backups of important data. We recommend backing up before any work begins.
  • You do not ask us to do anything unlawful, such as accessing systems you are not permitted to access.

Remote sessions and access

A session starts only after you approve the connection, and you can watch every action on your own screen. Access ends the moment the session closes. We use a third-party remote-support tool for the connection, and its own terms apply to that tool. For how we handle information, see our Privacy Policy.

Data, backups, and risk

Changes to computers, networks, servers, and websites carry some risk, even when done carefully. We take reasonable care, but we cannot promise that a fix will never cause side effects or that data will never be lost. This is why backups matter. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for data loss that a backup would have prevented.

No guarantee of results

We work carefully and honestly, but we cannot guarantee that every problem will be solved, or solved within a particular time. Problems that depend on third parties, such as internet providers, hosting companies, hardware makers, or software vendors, may be outside our control.

Problems and refunds

If we cannot resolve the issue remotely, we will tell you plainly. Any charge for work already done will be explained before you pay. If you are not happy with the work, contact us within a reasonable time and we will look into it and aim for a fair outcome. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights you have under the law where you live. Contributions made through the Support page are different and are covered in the Contributions section.

Contributions

TechAid accepts optional contributions through the Support TechAid page. The points below apply to every contribution, without exception.

  • Voluntary. A contribution is a gift. It is never needed to use the site, its tools or its services.
  • Nothing in return. A contribution does not buy a service, a feature, priority support or any other benefit, and it is not payment for work.
  • Final and non-refundable. Contributions are not refunded under any circumstances, including a wrong amount, a change of mind, or a transfer sent by mistake. A contribution is considered settled as soon as it is received.
  • Blockchain transfers cannot be reversed. The sender is responsible for the network, the address, the amount and any network fee. Funds sent to a wrong address or on a wrong network cannot be recovered.
  • How funds are used. Contributions go toward hosting, upkeep, new projects and the coffee fund, and TechAid decides how they are used. No particular result or timeline is promised in return.
  • No invoice or receipt. The blockchain record is the only proof of a transfer. No invoice or tax receipt is issued.
  • One wallet address. The only address for contributions is the one shown on the Support TechAid page. TechAid never asks for contributions by message, call or email.

Using the website

You agree not to misuse the site. In particular, you will not:

  • break the law or help someone else do so;
  • try to gain unauthorized access to the site, our systems, or other users’ information;
  • introduce malware, send spam, or disrupt the site;
  • copy the site automatically at a scale that harms performance, or collect personal data from it;
  • send abusive, misleading, or harmful messages.

Content and intellectual property

The site’s text, design, logo, and tools belong to TechAid or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may read and share links to our pages, and use our free tools for your own work, but you may not copy, resell, or republish our content or tools without written permission. Third-party names and logos belong to their owners.

Guides and ToolBox

Our guides, articles, and ToolBox tools are provided for general information and convenience. They are given “as is”, may not fit your situation, and are not professional advice for your specific systems. Please check results yourself and keep backups before applying changes to important systems.

Third-party links and advertising

The site links to services run by others, and may show advertising served by third parties, such as Google AdSense. We do not control or endorse those services or ads, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise that the site will always be available, error-free, or free from harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, TechAid is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the site or our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Suspension and ending

We may refuse or stop a service, or restrict access to the site, if you break these terms or misuse the site. You may stop using the site or our services at any time.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If a problem comes up, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it in good faith. If that does not work, the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the site or our services after an update means you accept the updated terms.
